nterior lighting is the main facility for interior lighting, for the interior space to provide decorative effects and lighting functions, it can not only add new content to the more monotonous top colour and shape, but also through the change of the shape of the interior lamps, lighting intensity adjustment and other means, to achieve the role of setting the atmosphere of the room, change the feeling of the room structure.
Chandeliers
A class of decorative lamps suspended from the ceiling in a conspicuous place in the room. According to the luminous situation, it can be divided into all diffuse, direct – indirect, downward lighting and light source revealed 4 kinds of types
①All diffuse. It sends light around and has a double function of lighting and decoration. To achieve a good decorative effect, coloured translucent lampshades and dimmers are often used to control the brightness of the light source.
②Direct – indirect type. There is a lot of upward and downward light, with little horizontal light. Often installed at a height close to the line of sight and used for lighting at dining tables, fast food restaurants etc. Some of these luminaires have adjustable hanging heights and are used for enhanced lighting when pulled down and general lighting when pushed up.
③ Downward lighting type. The light emitted creates a strong shadow. Used in halls, aisles or staircases for enhanced lighting. Usually also used in rooms with general lighting.
④Exposed light source. It uses a high luminous luminous body to get a sense of flicker and excitement, focusing on decoration. It generally uses a bare low-power light source and is installed in a space above the line of sight. When hung low, a low luminance light source must be used or a dimmer to reduce the luminance of the light source, and a light-coloured wall behind the light.
Wall lights
Luminaires mounted on walls, building columns and other façades. The installation height is closer to the horizontal line of sight. Therefore, the luminous surface brightness needs to be strictly controlled. According to the luminous situation there are 4 types of light source exposed, diffuse, strip and directional lighting (Fig. 4).
① Exposed light source type. Often used for decoration. Some are also equipped with transparent, aesthetically pleasing lampshades.
② Diffused. Smaller translucent lampshades with lower surface brightness are used. Often installed in pairs on the sides of aisles, doors and mirrors.
③ Strip type. Uses fluorescent lamps or more than one incandescent lamp in parallel as the light source, with a long and narrow profile. Can be used as a local illumination of the working surface, but also for general lighting. Installed above mirrors, aisles and foyers etc.
④ Directional lighting type. Stronger upward or downward light. The light is mostly used for general illumination upwards and for enhanced illumination downwards.
Removable light
Can be moved and positioned. There are two types: floor lamps and table lamps. They both have a solid base, a pillar and a shade that surrounds the light source for illumination
①Floor lamps. A taller form, placed on the floor or on a coffee table. The light emitted from the shade and from above plays a general lighting role, while the light from below illuminates the work surface that needs light and plays a local lighting role.
② Table lamp. Smaller shaped lamps on the table. The role of local lighting. There is a class of writing desk lamps for reading and writing, its lampshade brightness, lampshade shade angle of the luminous body, lighting area and illumination are conducive to reducing visual fatigue and protection of vision.
